Baby Einstein products were developed by Julie Aigner-Clarke after she gave birth to her own baby. A former teacher, Aigner-Clark felt there were no age-appropriate resources available for introducing the arts, music, and nature to her infant child. Thus motivated, she made her first Baby Einstein video, Baby Einstein Language Nursery in 1997. Today, Baby Einstein works in full partnership with The Walt Disney Company. In addition to the full line of books, flashcards, videos, DVDs, CDs, tapes, and more, parents can also choose among Baby Einstein clothing and other accessories. Baby Einstein products don't promise to make one's child smarter. However, they do encourage and help to develop a newborn's native curiosity. Baby Einstein products are intended to gently stimulate a child's visual, aural, and tactile senses, and introduce them to the rich worlds music, art, language, and nature. Baby Einstein music DVDs and CDs are a great example. Famous works by composers like Mozart and Bach are presented, but not in 'regular' arrangement with huge orchestras. Baby Einstein Mozart and Bach are re-orchestrated with those instruments most soothing and appealing to an infant's delicate ears. Children appear to respond extremely positively to the Baby Einstein products. Success has been so overwhelming that customers should keep their eyes peeled for the Little Einstein line of products, designed to meet the developing needs of three to five year olds. |
