The Baby Jogger Company has been the first to manufacture the three-wheeled baby stroller, and has been the market leader ever since its inception. Phil Baechler, a journalist founded this Company in 1984. Phil wanted to spend time with his infant whilst indulging in his favorite pastime ' jogging; when he realized that the carriers could not endure the stress of being rolled on various surfaces. This inspired him to design the first three wheeled stroller. Following the popularity of the Jogger, other companies too have started manufacturing three-wheeled strollers.

These three-wheeled strollers are designed with a sporty design and are built for use on a variety of surfaces. The three-wheeled stroller outdoes the four-wheeled pram in its ease of maneuverability and compact storage capabilities. Joggers come with different wheel sizes for different of activities. The 12' wheel joggers are ideal for roads, pavements and malls. The swivel wheels allow easy mobility in crowded places.
