All-night baby wails can keep parents up all night, leaving them with a feeling of helplessness. Besides affecting the baby, it also affects the parents' personal and professional lives. One solution to this problem is an automated baby swing. Baby swings comfort the baby, at the same time providing entertainment and amusement with music, lights, and moving objects. Take-along, full size, and cradle swings are the most common and popular baby swing types. Depending on the baby's requirements and where the swing will be used, one may select either of these three types of swings. Baby swings include important features such as different swing speeds, soothing tunes, toys and other entertaining objects, comfortable handles for easy transportation, and safety precautions for the baby. Take-along swings are compact in size and can be taken just about anywhere. They are designed with all the features of a full-sized swing in a compact and convenient size. Full size swings are heavier and usually come with a kickstand that is attached for feeding infants. Cradle swings are designed to provide more comfort for the baby with a multi-position reclining seat. Adding to the take-along and full size swings, cradle swings come with extra swing speeds. Swings may be battery operated or wind-up in functioning. Wind-up swings may awaken the baby with the constant rewinding that has to be done, and are required to be rewound repeatedly. Battery operated swings offer more convenience and less disturbance to the baby. They also include more speeds and music settings to soothe the baby. However, having to replace batteries regularly adds to its operating cost. Two of the biggest baby swing manufacturers are Fisher Price and Graco. They offer wind-up as well as battery operated swings to meet every need. Baby swings not only ensure a sound night's sleep for the baby, it also allows the parent's to get an uninterrupted, restful sleep. |
