Nikon Corporation also known as Nikon is one of the most famous Japanese companies that specialize in optics and imaging. It was started in the year 1917, under the name Nihon and was renamed to Nikon Corporation after its most famous Nikon series of camera, in 1988. The company's vast product line includes cameras, microscopes, binoculars, measurement instruments, and even steppers. The Nikon D200 is a DSLR digital camera, which was launched in 2006. The body of this digital camera is made using lightweight magnesium alloy, and also has extra sealing to make it dust, and moisture resistant. It is equipped with a 10.2 megapixel DX Format CCD image sensor that allows one to capture high quality images at resolution of up to 3,872x2,592 pixels. The incorporated advanced imaging processing engine of the D200 provides excellent color gradations with smooth and consistent transitions. The high speed continuous shooting can capture five frames per second. The Nikon D200 features a high resolution 2.5 inch LCD, which enables the user to view the images up to 400% magnifications. In addition, the display allows the images to be viewed at a wide angle of 170 degrees. The Nikon D200 has a Wireless Transmitter WT-3 wireless functionality with IEEE 802.11b/g technology that enables cable-free image transfer to a compatible computer.
