Boost i860Boost is an Irvine CA based brand that offers premium communication products and services in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. The brand Boost was introduced in the United States by Nextel communications, (now Sprint Nextel). This mobile was basically targeted at the urban youths, and was recognized as a brand that embraces diverse culture, fashion, and lifestyles. Its popularity among the American youth has increased immensely, establishing it as the fastest growing wireless services in the United States. The i860 is the latest phone from Boost Mobile with added features and functionality. This phone has a clam shell design, and is equipped with an internal antenna to enhance the reception. The phone features a dual screen display, with an 18 bit main color display giving resolution of 176 x 220 pixels, and an external sub LCD display with a resolution of 95 x 65. The built in VGA camera allows one to click pictures, and send them to compatible cell phones, and even E-mail accounts. In addition, the camera also allows the user to capture small 10 second videos with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The i860 is GPS enabled, which when activated can point the approximate location of the user, which is a very useful feature in times of emergency. In addition, the phone also has a special intelligent t9 feature that permits one to type text messages, simply without the problem of pressing the key many times for the right letter. The integrated Openwave 7.0 browser allows the user to instantly connect to the Internet. This phone also features built-in polyphonic ring tones, along with support for MP3 ringtones. |
