About Lg U8330

In 1947, South Korean company, Luck-Goldstar, started manufacturing household cleaning products and laundry detergents. The products were sold as 'Lucky', which came to be synonymous as a foremost toothpaste brand. Its foray into the consumer electronics segment was initiated as the 'Goldstar' brand tag. The company changed its name to Lucky-Goldstar in the year 1995 and undertook manufacturing household electronics, mobile phones, and petrochemical products. LG Electronics manufactures cellular phones for various segments of the market. The recently launched LG U8330 is a Dual-Band cellular phone that is capable of tuning into GSM 900 and GSM 1800 channel frequencies. The phone is equipped with dual display, with the main color display having a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels, and an external monochrome display having a resolution of 96 x 64 pixels. In addition, the phone is equipped with a VGA CCD sensor camera that allows the user to capture images and video at resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The camera also features a 2x digital zoom mode with built-in flash. The phone can play 64-channel Polyphonic, and MP3 encoded music files as ringtones. The phone book can store 250 entries with 10 fields for each entry and a caller photo id. It makes use of Infrared and a USB port for transferring data. The LG U8330's GPRS Class10 receiver allows the user to connect to WAP 2.0 / xHTML website a maximum speed of 48 kbps. The additional 3G module provides a maximum of 384 kbps of data transfer rate. The 3G connectivity in the phone can be used for all third generation video mobile services such as video calling, video messaging and downloading video clips. Messaging formats such as SMS, EMS, MMS, Email and Instant messaging are also supported by this phone. Powered by a Lithium-Ion battery, the LG U8330 offers a Standby time of 120 hours and a talk time of 2 hours.
