About Cacharel Clothes

The French label Cacharel, founded in Nimes, France in 1962 by 30-year-old designer Jean Bousquet, is beloved by fashion enthusiasts around the world. With fine fabrics and feminine styles of blouses, skirts, dresses, and other items, Cacharel clothes appeal to a broad range of consumers who enjoy thoughtful details and a somewhat casual yet entirely put-together and elegant look. Today, Cacharel remains a privately-owned company. In addition to ready-to-wear clothing, Cacharel also produces several types of perfume, including Promesse, Amor Amor, Anais Anais, Noa, Gloria, and Noa Fleur. The name Cacharel comes from a bird that lives in the south of France. The head designer is now Clements Ribeiro, a husband-and-wife design team made up of Inacio Ribeiro and Suzanne Clements. The couple met while studying fashion at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in London, and took over Cacharel in 2000. Their love of mixed patterns, eclectic colors, and varied textures is reflected in Cacharel clothes. The look is generally cheerful and whimsical, frequently incorporating unique florals and other prints. Whether vintage or contemporary, Cacharel clothes can make a fine addition to any wardrobe. Cacharel has gone beyond women's fashion and fragrance, as well, expanding their products to include clothing for children, as well as handbags, scarves, eyewear, jewelry, swimwear, watches, bed linens, housewares, shoes, and lingerie.
