Justin Boots has remained one of the best known boot manufacturers for nearly a century. H.J. Justin started out as a boot repairman in 1879 in the town of Spanish Fort, Texas. He learned very quickly and soon formed a boot company of his own, selling custom made boots from his home. In 1889, H.J. and his wife, Anne, moved their family business to thriving Nocona, Texas in order to take advantage of the railroad town's marketing opportunities.

By 1908, the company's name had been changed to H.J. Justin and Sons, and by 1910, Justin Boots had doubled in production size and were selling their boots in Mexico, Cuba, Canada, and in 26 states in the U.S. After their father's death, John and Earl Justin moved the company to Forth Worth, Texas in 1925. The popularity of the boots grew tremendously throughout the decades of the 20th century, and the company received numerous awards for keen innovation and craftsmanship in Western boots.
