In 1880, Sam Lucchese came to the United States with his brothers. Although he was only 17, the young man had a dream of becoming a boot maker. Within three years, he established the Lucchese Boot Company in San Antonio, Texas. Top craftsmanship and devoted customers kept the company strong, but it experienced even new heights of boot innovation when Sam Lucchese Jr. took over in the 1960s. Like his grandfather who founded the company, Sam Lucchese Jr. was dedicated to the skill and craftsmanship of making top quality cowboy boots. However, his fascination with the human foot led to the creation of Lucchese boots with a better fit than any that had come before them. The new boot designs by Sam Lucchese Jr. soon became the preferred choice of kings, presidents, movie stars and businessmen all over the world. Lucchese boots are made with the finest grain leathers, and every step of meticulous craftsmanship is executed by hand. Sam Lucchese invented the exclusive 'twisted cone last' design of the boots and they still follow the same design tradition today. Many Lucchese boots are limited editions, and the company still fills special request orders for custom made boots. Lucchese Classics are made from remarkable materials, including kangaroo, buffalo, elephant, alligator, crocodile, goat, ostrich, horn back caiman, calf and sting ray. The Lucchese 2000 collection is made with ostrich, American buffalo, African elephant and navigator leathers. Lucchese offers a diverse range of western boots for both men and women, designed with the utmost attention to all of the quality traditions Lucchese boots are known for. |
