When most people think of Bose sound systems, they are typically thinking of the Bose Wave line of products. Although Bose manufactures a wide range of products, the Wave series is by far one of the most popular. These compact devices are capable of delivering incredible sound quality at volume levels that seem to defy their small stature. The most basic Bose Wave audio systems are elegant and sleekly designed tabletop devices, one of which solely plays the radio, while the other also capable of CD and MP3 playback. As with all Bose Wave products, simplicity is a key to their design. Their remote controls are no larger than a credit card and provide complete control over the entire system. Going from radio to CD, for example, is instantaneous with the touch of a button. Following the same design principles, the other Bose Wave systems, such as the Acoustic Wave, offer upgrades such as a 5-disc CD changer or more powerful acoustics. At the same time, although these products are slightly larger in size, they remain compact, making them easy to fit even in the tightest spaces. Installing a stereo system can be frustrating. There are often additional wires and cables that need to be connected. Depending on the type of cable used, sound quality may be affected one way or another. With a Bose Wave system there is no installation required. Simply pull it out of the box, place it in the desired area, plug it in and enjoy. This makes Bose Wave systems particularly popular with less mechanically inclined consumers. |
