Apple's iPods have very quickly become the dominant force in the portable music player industry. With several models to choose from, finding an iPod that suits one's personal music listening needs is simple. iPods are, however, fairly pricey, and it is no wonder that many are on the hunt for a good iPod used. You can find good used versions of all of the major iPod models, though some of the newer or specialized models might be more difficult to find. For example the iPod U2 Special Edition may be difficult, but not impossible to find used. This model comes in black and features a distinctive red click wheel. It also features the ability to store up to 5,000 songs and up to 20,000 photos. One of the main things you should watch out for when buying an iPod used is whether or not it has all of its accessories included. iPods both large and small come standard with an AC adaptor, ear buds, and a USB cable. The USB cable is particularly important since it is the means whereby you download music into your iPod. Additionally, many of the iPod models come with a lanyard or a belt clip. These items may seem insignificant, but buying them separately can quickly add up and negate any 'bargain' you might have garnered by buying your iPod used. Other things to watch out for include scratches on the LCD screen and housing and general signs of unusual wear and tear. It is generally a good idea to purchase a used iPod that comes with some sort of guarantee or warranty. |
