Popular satellite radio receiver manufacturer, Sirius, has developed a special receiver for sports fans. Named the Sirius Sportster, it can tune-in to your favorite NFL team's live game show or it's coach's-corner show immediately upon its broadcast. Measuring only 2.8' in height, 4.4' in width and 1.3 inches in depth, the Sportster is a dashboard-mounted car console that can play all the 120 satellite radio stations broadcast by Sirius. The unique feature in Sportster is the alert facility that announces regular game events. Every time a game is broadcast live over satellite radio, Sportster announces the on-going event and automatically switches to the station. The advanced display function projects your favorite team's logo or plainly the NFL shield, if you have no preferences, while switching on or off. The GameZone feature displays a summary of the NFL scores in scrolling manner. Advanced coverage of the National Hockey League games and statistics are built in the Sportster, except the feature is on hold by NFL currently. The S-Seek feature can locate any additional games being played apart from those of your favorite teams. It has a one-touch tuning button for instant traffic and weather reports. 10 stations can be stored and accessed directly by the 10 preset buttons on the front face of Sportster. An old-school rotary tuning knob and a rocker switch to select between rock, pop, country, hip-hop, R&B, dance, jazz, classical, Latin/world, news, sports, entertainment, and traffic categories. The remote holds 23 buttons to control most of the features instantly. The display can project output on its 6-line LCD screen and alternate between an orange and green background. Common features such as a line-out jack, an FM modulator and a memory button for storing 20 of your favorite artists and songs selections for auto-alerts, akin to the NFL game alerts function, make an appearance on the Sportster.
