Palm, Inc. is one of the leading manufacturers of PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant) in the world. Based in Sunnyvale, California, Palm has manufactured popular PDAs such as the Zire, Tungsten series, Treo series, the Palm Pilot and the original Palm PDA series. The Tungsten series of PDAs from Palm are known for their performance and durability. The Tungsten T3 is a third generation T-Class PDA featuring 64 MB built-in memory, a 400MHz Intel PXA255 processor and a 320x480 TFT touch-screen. The PDA runs on the Palm Operating System version 5.2.1. It has an in-built speaker and microphone to use with voice recording software. The T3 features the Active Input Technology with Virtual Graffiti 2 with Virtual Keyboard with the typical Tungsten line slider. This can be used for handwriting text instead of using the keyboard to key in data, providing convenience and much needed efficiency. A Personal Information Manager (PIM) software helps to organize and categorize appointments and tasks by urgency, category, etc. Rhe Tungsten T3 also supports the RealOne Player for playing audio and video media and a Secure Digital (SD), MMC and SDIO flash memory card interface. The PDA can transfer all the appointments, emails, contact lists, etc. to and from the PC or Macintosh using a USB cradle unit. An Infrared port and Bluetooth connectivity offer instant connectivity to mobile phones and computers across brands. The T3's powerful battery recharges up to 80% within 90 minutes, making it one of the most efficient PDAs available in the market.
