Creative Technology Limited manufactures computer multimedia products. Creative Technology Limited is based in Singapore and was established by Sim Wong Hoo, on July 1, 1981. The US subsidiary of this company is known as Creative Labs Inc. Creative Technology is popular for their Sound Blaster range of audio cards. Creative Zen is Creative's range of digital audio players. Some Zen models such as the Zen Touch, Zen Micro, Zen Nano Plus etc are equipped with a touch-pad interface to play WMA, MP3 and WAV audio files. Zen audio players are based on hard disk drives rather than flash memory drives. The Zen line of audio players is compatible with Microsoft Outlook. The Zen Neon is the latest addition to the Zen family. The Zen Neon is aimed at those who feel that the Zen Micro looks too flashy. The Neon is small in size and is compact enough to slip into your pocket. Zen Neon has 5GB memory capacity and is a delight for those who like customized all-round MP3 players. The Zen Neon also comes with SNR (Sound to Noise Ratio) of 98 db and a battery life of 16 hours. The Zen Neon is also equipped with FM tuner and microphone. The front-side of the Neon has a piano-black finish. The back of the Neon is anodized aluminum, which is available in ten colors. The LCD screen if the Zen Neon comes with a seven color backlight. Creative also manufactures Stik-Ons stickers that can be placed and removed from the face of the unit. The Zen Neon line was updated to 6GB, in November 2005. A new Flash player line was introduced in 512MB, 1GB and 2GB capacity. At present, the Zen Neon range is outfitted with a dual-tone OLED screen. Creative's Zen Neon is a USB mass storage device, which do not use Creative specialized USB drivers.
