Abc Lost

Filmed entirely on location on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, the pilot episode of Lost was originally filmed at Mokuleia Beach, near the northwest tip of the island. The most expensive episode in the network's history, cost between $10 and $14 million. The first season comprising of 24 featured episodes, began airing on September 22, 2004 in the United States. The first season lays the background for the next three seasons where the surviving passengers of the crash-landed Oceanic Flight 815, work together towards their survival, on a seemingly deserted tropical island, threatened by several mysterious elements, including an unseen creature which roams the jungle, a metal hatch buried in the ground, and the hideous machinations of the island's malevolent inhabitants known as the 'Others'. Apart from discovering an unwanted visitor among their group posing as a member, the group also encounters a French woman called Danielle Rousseau, shipwrecked on the island over a dozen years before. September 21, 2005 saw the airing of the second season, featuring 24 episodes, in the US continuing the story from 44 days following the crash. The season emphasizes the eternal conflict between faith and science. Apart from resolving many a mystery and raising newer questions, the season introduced new characters in the form of the tail-end survivors and island inhabitants from the 'Others' group. The DHARMA Initiative and its benefactor, The Hanso Foundation, apart from the mysterious 'Others', are brought forth to existence and the truth is revealed to the survivors. Season three, composed of 23 episodes, will be aired on October 4, 2006 in two sets. The first set comprising six episodes and the second set consisting of a consecutive run of seventeen episodes, starting by February 2007.
