These films feature a unique take on tales that many feel Hollywood trivialized long ago. While many complain that genre films in Hollywood are strictly plot driven, Bollywood pictures still often take the time to fully develop their characters. Movies often run well over three hours, so there is no rush to get to the next big scene.For true fans of the Bollywood movie, there are shirts, posters, and other memorabilia. You can also find Bollywood/American crossovers, which are more common than you might think, as many American actors travel to India each year to make a living. However, this has caused issues among some purists.As Western influence grows in Bollywood, there are many filmmakers who are trying to stay close to their roots. They create movies that utilize dialogue in Hindi and Urdu, and they strive to keep the movies from succumbing to trends of the West. Despite their best efforts, though, the influence of Hollywood is already becoming apparent on Bollywood movies. Skin can now be shown and traditional wedding scenes are giving way to dates at the local club. However, the look and feel of a Bollywood movie is still something all its own.
