Toy Story is an animated movie about toy characters and the events that take place in the room of Andy, a six year old boy. The story reloves around Woody, Andy's favorite toy and Buzz Lightyear, Andy's new toy that was gifted to him. Woody is an old fashioned sheriff toy and enjoys the special treatment he receives from all the toys. But everything changes, once Buzz comes into picture and wins the affection of everyone and Woody's place on Andy's bed. Buzz is the new hi tech toy that has an electronic voice spring loaded wings and laser. Rivalry creeps in between Woody and Buzz and Woody sets a trap for Buzz. The plan goes hay wire and both of them land up in the neighborhood bully, Sid's room. With the help of other toys they escape and reunite with their owner and resolve their differences. The other toy characters include the sarcastic Mr. Potato Head, Rex the dinosaur toy, Slinky Dog, Hamm the piggy bank, Bo Peep a shepherdess doll and Sarge an army commander.

Toy Story was the first full length movie to be made using computer tools and technology and was produced by Pixar Animation Studios. It was released by Walt Disney Pictures and Buena Vista Distribution in 1995. After the success of the first part, the second part was released Toy Story Two that accounts the rescue operation for Woody from the clutches of Al, a toy collector. Some new characters have been introduced in the second part. In both the parts, Tom Hanks has done the voice for Woody and Tim Allen for Buzz Lightyear.

The DVD version is a three disc collectors set, The Ultimate Toy Box, that consists of complete story of how the films were made, 3D fly around tours of the sets, deleted sequences, trailers and TV ads and much more along with the two feature films.
