Kitchen Cabinet

Kitchen cabinets are a type of furniture that is setup against a wall, usually made of wood and used for storing utensils and cutlery. Cabinets often have a pair of doors in the front and may also contain drawers. Kitchen cabinets are generally topped with an external countertop. Kitchen cabinets are designed to enhance the look of the kitchen along with its basic purpose of storage. Kitchen cabinets these days are made with various types and styles of cabinet doors, interior fixtures and knobs. Cabinet shelves are generally designed to maximize storage space; some even offer adjustable shelves. They can have base drawers and corner units that increase storage space. Kitchen cabinets also have built in areas to accommodate a sink and other appliances. Cabinets with plinths or legs at the base add a touch of elegance to the look of the entire kitchen. Water proof plinths are ideal for kitchen cabinets. Kitchen cabinets are ideally made from water resistant materials to avoid growth of fungus, mildew, and erosion from rust. Kitchen cabinets are no longer seen as simply storage furniture; they have now become an essential ingredient to the decor of the kitchen. However, their primary purpose still remains storage of utensils and food stuff, leading to a more organized, orderly kitchen.
