The Roomba vacuum cleaner allows you to keep your floors clean without the hassle of vacuuming on a daily basis. The Roomba, with its dirt-detecting sensors, travels through your house picking up dirt and pet hair along the way. If this seems too good to be true, it's not.

Roomba offers a full line of robotic vacuums, including the Roomba Discovery. Each Irobot Roomba has some unique features, but they all have an on-board dust bin. This bin collects the vacuumed dust, which you then empty in the trash; there are no bags to change. The Roomba vacuum has the ability to transition across a variety of surfaces. This means that as the vacuum moves from hardwood to carpet to tile, it will not get stuck. The Roomba can automatically sense stairs and will avoid them. If the Roomba does get too close to the stairs and its wheels go over the edge, it will automatically shut off.

If your Roomba gets stuck anywhere while vacuuming, it has a variety of pre programmed escape maneuvers. If it is still unable to move, it will emit a call for help. If there are areas that you want to keep your Roomba away from, you can set up virtual walls. These small boxes emit an electrosonic beam that the Roomba will not cross.

Additional features include a self-charging base that the Roomba will return to on its own, and a dirt sensor that will help guide the Roomba where it needs to go. The Roomba also works great at cleaning along the edge of the rooms as well as under beds and low furniture. The low clearance of the Roomba gives it access to places that other vacuums can't reach.
