All-Clad Metal crafters are the American manufacturers of premium cookware. All-Clad was established by a metallurgist, John Ulam, to meet the requirements of professional chefs. John Ulam discovered a unique process that employs a combination of heat and pressure to bond different metals into 'sandwiched' sheets. This patented 'roll-bonding' process, which allows even distribution of heat, is the basis for most of All-Clad products. All-Clad produces several unique series of cookware and kitchen tools such as canisters, dry food storage implements, choppers, as well as poultry and seafood cutting tools meeting different cooking requirements and preferences. The manufacturer is based in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, and offers five cookware collections plus a baking ware line. The products are created for use on induction cook tops as well as conventional gas stoves, halogen, or electric ranges. All Clad products are available in categories such as LTD, Stainless, Cop-R-Chef, Copper-Core, MC2, and Non-stick. Rolled edges to reduce dripping when contents are transferred and ergonomic handles are some of the features of All Clad products. The All-Clad Stainless steel series of cookware have a thick core of three separate layers of aluminum between a polished 18/10 stainless steel cooking surface and a magnetic stainless steel exterior. The aluminum interior retains heat and evenly distributes it along the surface of the vessel. The COP-R-CHEF series contains a unique collection of copper-clad stainless steel cookware each with an aluminum core. The LTD Exterior series products are composed of dark, anodized aluminum with a protective oxide coating. The MC2 exterior incorporates Matte-finish brushed aluminum. All-Clad's collections occupy a big share in the world of cookware manufacturing and marketing.
