Wine is an alcoholic beverage which is made from the fermentation fruits, primarily grapes; other fruits such as plum, elderberry and blackcurrant are also used. Most popular wines are quiet precious and need to be stored under certain conditions. Wine is best stored at 55 degrees and at 50 percent humidity; this way the original aroma and flavor of the wine is not lost to high temperature or humidity. Wine refrigerators are can be placed in kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms or at the bar. They can be kept at home or even in office premises. Most wine refrigerators come with a number of racks, and some models also have adjustable and detachable racks as wine bottles vary in size and shape. Usually white wine bottles are placed on the bottom racks and red wine bottles are place on the upper racks. The door of most refrigerators is made of glass and often have fancy or simple wood paneling on the edges. The temperature and humidity levels are set at an optimum level but can be altered according to one's wish. Average wine refrigerators can store 10 to 60 bottles of wine at a time, but some compact refrigerators can store a mere two bottles and larger refrigerators that store 100 bottles. Such large refrigerators are commonly used in hotels and restaurants. Recent models are rather silent and highly energy efficient. They come in a variety of sizes and their styles differ in perspective to the type of wood or other materials used, glass used for the door, thickness of the door, single or double door option, front or back exhaust system, locking system, and an external LCD display for temperature and humidity setting. The new models are compact, sleek, and add a certain amount of sophistication to one's decor.
