Simply big basins of water, swimming pools are constructed in various shapes, and sizes. The difference between various types of pools is based in its style of construction and intended purpose. Different styles of pools have different advantages and disadvantages over each other. Swimming pools are of two types; above-ground and in-ground swimming pools. Above-ground swimming pools are the cheapest option and easier to build. They are easily assembled from pre-fabricated kits available from various manufacturers such as Atrium, Endless Pools, etc. These kits comprise of a swimming pool structure or basin built of material such as steel, vinyl or fiberglass, pool ladder and pumping equipment and filtering equipment. Additional, chemical treatment equipment can be installed later when required. Above-ground swimming pool kits offer an easy to setup facility and are more cost effective than in-ground types of swimming pools. Pool ladders are usually made up of plastic, wood or metals such as steel. They come in various sizes as per personal preferences. Pool ladders with non-skid threads, protect from slipping. Pool steps or pool ladders serve the same purpose; they both act as support to step into the pool and step out of the pool. However, pool steps generally have broad base that make an easy exit for elders and youngsters as well. They are easily available in online stores and in local stores where pool accessories are sold. |
