Jewelry generally signifies love, affection, and fashion or decoration. Earlier jewelry was used more for practical purposes such as pinning clothes together and wealth storage, today it is widely used as a decoration, and fashion statement. The first pieces of jewelry were made of natural materials such as bones, teeth, wood or shells. Jewelry is made for men, women, kids and even babies. The Baby jewelry is an excellent way of showing how much deeply one feels for their baby, and this memory will be cherished when they grow up to be adults. Considering the delicate skin of a baby, making them wear the appropriate jewelry is absolutely important. If one thinks it is time for a baby girl to get her ears pierced, then it's time one needs to start looking for earrings for her. Similarly for a baby boy one might want to get him a bracelet or neck wear. Baby jewelry such as bracelets, chains, and earrings usually carry the baby's initials or their pet name on it. They could be made of diamonds, pearls, gold, silver, or even ceramic. Different colored charms or crystals adorning the baby's jewelry can be used. A baby might not really be fashion conscious; however the jewelry may be a distraction when he/she gets cranky, and irritated. Pendants are a favorite for gifting purpose on christening day, baptism, or on first birthday. The pendants could have animals, birds, or any other forms such as butterflies, angels, teddy bears, cat, horse, dolls, flowers, heart shaped and so on and so forth.
