About Bally

'Bally & Co' is a shoe company founded by Carl Franz Bally and his brother Fritz. They started production with German shoemakers in the basement of their home in Switzerland. In 1854, a factory was built in the centre of the village Schonenwerd, in Switzerland. However, Fritz left the business and Carl Bally carried on under the name 'C.F Bally'. In 1860, C.F bally employed more than 500 workers and production grew with the introduction of the first sewing machines and steam machines that ran ribbon weaving machines. In 1870, C.F Bally Co was at the top of the European shoe industry with its production and mechanism. The company expanded operations and opened branches at Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Geneva, and Paris. In 1892, Carl Franz Bally handed over his business to his sons who renamed it as 'C F Bally and Sons'. Bally shoes are known for their comfortable fit, and graceful and fashionable designs influenced from Paris. It was in 1976 that the Bally Company extended its product range to include Bally clothing handbags and other leather accessories such as the Bally credit card wallet which is ideal for travelers as it has a classic leather finish with space to keep the credit cards in. It is 4/3 and has snap closure. The Bally clothing handbags are another unisex products available in different colors such as Chocolate, Powder grey, Fog grey, Taupe, Lilac, and White.
