Unless you are completely tuned out of the world of pop culture and entertainment, no doubt you have at least heard about (if not been dragged to by your teen daughter) the "Twilight" saga, the series written by author Stephenie Meyer and made into a series of movies. If you’ve caught the "Eclipse" DVD, then you know that "Eclipse" is the third in the series of books and films, and that this entry focuses on the relationships between the three central characters, Edward, Bella, and Jacob, as well as a revenge plot put forth against Edward and Bella by a rival vampire named Victoria. The "Eclipse" DVD may not be the most popular in the series, as the "Breaking Dawn" book and films, where most of the large-scale action occurs, is typically readers’ favorite book and film in the entire series. Though "Eclipse" has its own thrilling scenes, particularly the scene where Victoria perishes and Bella admits to Jacob that she has chosen Edward over him to be her mate, the ensuing wedding of Edward and Bella in "Breaking Dawn, Part 1" had "Twilight" fans everywhere swooning. Though the books are primarily of the fantasy or teen horror genre, the pinnacle of the entire series is the romantic entanglements between Edward, a vampire, Bella, a human, and Jacob, a werewolf. Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob? The series divided fans into two camps: those that wanted Bella to end up with the handsome, gentle werewolf or those that wanted to see her with the sophisticated vampire Edward. Though the series is over, it remains a pop culture phenomenon that made Mrs. Meyer a billionaire, and millions of teen girls want a vampire to date, too.
