Fur
Fur is a term that refers to the body hair of non-human mammals. It is usually derived from the coats of animals. Fur may consist of short ground hair usually referred as 'under fur', that are short and denser than the top layer, long guard hair that comprise of the top layer that are longer than the ground hair and contain more pigmentation, and lastly the awn hair.
Furs have been used as a part of clothing since long, especially fur coats, wrap, collar or shawls. Fur coats and fur trims are still considered as luxury items and a part of fashionable trend. Fur clothing's are entirely or partially made up of fur, which can be derived from animals such as bear, fox, rabbit, mink, and seal. They are considered to be amongst the first materials that were used to cover the human body. Fur clothing's are worn almost in all the countries; however they are usually worn during extreme cold conditions. They have become a traditional part of Russian, Japanese and Scandinavian clothing.
Now-a-days there are fake furs used for clothing that are made up of synthetic fibers, which resemble the original animal coat. It has a similar texture, appearance, and quality of coziness that the real furs have. Usually fur clothing's are dyed with bright colors to imitate different animal patterns or can be left with original patterns and color. They are easily available in shopping malls, designer boutiques and on online stores as well.
