Jenny Mccarthy

Born on November 1, 1972, in Chicago Illinois, Jenny McCarthy is an American model, actress, and author. Born into a middle class Irish Catholic family, she grew up on the Southside of Chicago in the West Elsdon neighborhood. Jenny attended Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School and after graduation attended Southern Illinois University and studied nursing. When the time came to pay for her college fees, McCarthy sent her picture to Playboy magazine and got accepted. From then on she was a Playboy model and got paid $20,000 to pose as Miss October 1993, and also went on to become the Playboy Playmate of the Year. Jenny moved to Los Angeles; however she had a difficult time finding work in Hollywood. She finally landed an interview with MTV and got a hosting position on the channel. With her immediate success, she decided to leave the show 'Singled Out' and started her own sitcom, 'The Jenny McCarthy Show'. She declined an offer from Playboy asking her to submit more nude pictures, and followed her path into movies and television. In 1995, McCarthy played a blonde nurse in 'Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead'. In her next film, Jenny had her first substantial screen character in which she played a neurotic movie star in 'The Stupids'. Jenny McCarthy later appeared in the 'Baseketball', and 'Scream 3'. Jenny also starred in 'Dirty Love' which was released in 2005. Apart from movies, men's magazines, and several TV sitcoms, Jenny McCarthy is also an author and a host to an online community devoted to motherhood. As an author, McCarthy was announced as New York Times bestselling author for 'Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth About Pregnancy and Childbirth' and 'Baby Laughs: The Naked Truth About the First Year of Mommyhood'. She also has a new book titled 'Life Laughs: The Naked Truth About Motherhood, Marriage, and Moving On'. Inspired by her son Evan, Jenny hosts an online community where mothers have a group where they can share anything about their children and parenting. Jenny McCarthy has come a long way from her Playboy Playmate days and his established her as an actress and bestselling author. Despite the success of her books, she continues to work in films and will soon be seen in films such as 'Rolling' and 'John Tucker Must Die'.
