It specializes in the production of home electronics, and musical instruments. This Japan-based Company sells audio equipment, electronic organs, music workstations, electric grand pianos, digital pianos, portable keyboards, synthesizers, guitars, and other musical instruments. Yamaha has been involved in the design and production of high performance speaker for over three decades and has carved a niche for itself in the market. There is a popular line of top quality loudspeakers offered by Yamaha Corporation, which are known as the Natural Sound or NS series. The NS10 studio is one such product belonging to the NS Series. It was used as a definitive speaker monitor in many professional studios worldwide. The NS10 features compact configuration, magnetically shielded cone for woofer, optimum matching of woofer and dome tweeter, accurate crossover design, and rugged horizontal placement design. Top-grade materials were used for its overall rugged construction, making this product extremely durable. Yamaha offered the NS10M as an extension of this series. A tissue paper was used in the NS10M to cover the tweeters, in order to reduce the high-frequency radiation, resulting in smooth transition between the frequency ranges. This innovative method was a trendsetter in loudspeaker technology. The NS10M professional produced a full, flat output ranging from 60 Hz to 20 kHz. The NS10M was available in two different models the NS10MC and NS10MS. The difference between the NS10MC (Commercial) and the NS10MS (Studio) were the protective grill cloth and mounting holes on the NS10MC for long-term installation. |
