The Honda 305 series of motorbikes comprises of three different versions; Honda Super hawk, Honda Scrambler, Honda Dream. Further, each version has many different models. The 305 series was released around the 1960s. The various models under the 305 Superhawk are CB72, CB77, CR72, CR77, CP77, and CYP77. The Superhawk is a two cylinder motorbike with a 305cc engine. It is equipped with a mutliplate clutch and 4-speed forward transmission with a constant mesh. An electric starter or a kick pedal gets this bike moving. The motorbike has a fuel tank that holds a capacity of 14 liters and a crankcase oil capacity of 1.2 liters. Most of the models have a ground clearance of 125mm or 140 mm with wheelbase of 1290mm to 1295mm. The various models escalate to different maximum speeds in the range of 145km/hr to 160km/hr. The bike gives an average of 45km/liter. The Superhawk can be fitted with accessories like the side saddle bag. It comes in an all chrome chassis that gives it a classy look. The Honda Scrambler has plastic fenders, knobby tires, a battery eliminator and racing seat. Some of the models of the Scrambler are the CL72-CL77. The models of the Honda Dream are CA72-CA77-CA78. The Honda Dream has a 360 degree crank as compared to the 180 crank on the Superhawk. Superhawks, Scramblers, and Dreams were fitted with detailed Honda tank badges. The badge consisted of the suspended Honda wing against a black background in a plastic encapsulation. Eventually the plastic badges were replaced by the metal variety. |
