Most companies do not redesign their products just two years after they initially launch them. The Yamaha YFZ450 was first released in 2004, but the 2006 model features more than 80 changes to the original model. Professional ATV racers have commented that the 2006 YFZ450 has dramatically improved over the stock 2005 model, and with minor modifications would be drivable at the competitive level. As a result, the YFZ450 has received a number of awards for the best sport ATV of the year. Its titanium valve engine gives it the highest power-to-weight ratio of any ATV that has previously been produced. New features also include improved tires for better traction, controlled rear braking, and an LED taillight that is bright and durable while consuming less electricity. The YFZ450 engineers did not sacrifice comfort and convenience for the sake of performance. Standard features on the ATV include electric push-button starting and a flip-type parking brake. A thicker seat and new handlebars coupled with longer-travel rear suspension let you take the ATV onto hard trails without worrying about how every bump on the path will feel. The Yamaha YFZ450 is available in three different color schemes, which is nice for bikers who want to stand out a bit. If you want to take the advice of professional riders and improve the performance beyond the stock model, there are also a host of accessories for the YFZ450 that can be purchased and installed to customize your ATV. |
