Alex Pauker is a Russian artist born in 1974. At an early age he realized that he possessed a natural talent for painting, and, till today, enjoys creating beautiful landscapes and still life paintings. Pauker studied art at the Yekaterinburg College of Art in Russia. After graduating in 1990, he decided to travel the world and experience life. He visited Europe and was completely spellbound by its scenic beauty. In Europe, he earned a second art degree via a student exchange program. While studying, Alex Pauker started working as illustrator and creative consultant at a publishing house. He participated at and won the second International Leningrad Art Contest.
Alex Pauker uses a very different technique in his works. He makes use of the palette knife to paint, and builds up the surface of his work in thick textures. This technique is known as “impasto”. The subjects of his paintings are often various landscapes from around the world; the theme of his paintings, peaceful, natural, and full of beauty.
The artist currently resides at Tel-Aviv, Israel. He continues to travel and explore the world to find inspiration for his paintings. His works can be found in galleries, museums, as well as private collections in Israel, the United States, and Europe. He has exhibited his works in museums including Ramat Gan in Israel, the Cultural Centre in Natanya, the Gesher Gallery in Tel-Aviv, and the Smart Gallery at Hilton, Tel Aviv. |
