Bargain self-help books are almost a misnomer. Yes, the publishing industry does regularly offer lower cost books, but the savings from self-books are inherent. They are all bargain books because they will help reduce expenses, increase earnings, and improve the quality of life. There is no price tag for these changes. If a buyer can save money on the book as well, all the better. Bargain self-help books are found in all subsections of the genre, but particularly in areas of technical matters. Since these subjects are widely understood, many publishers can issue their own volume on the subject matter. Other subjects like self-image and weight loss will change from year to year, and new theories will be offered. Many of these books will make the best seller list and can initially be expensive. Bargain versions of these books will be available later as new books take their place, or when they are issued as paperbacks.
