The only thing more feminine in this world than high-heel shoes is lipstick. High-heel shoes are every woman's best friend. The shortest--and even ugliest-- high heel is more attractive on the leg than the cutest flat shoe. Sad, but true. Now, lovers of flats shouldn't take offense. Flats are wonderful. They are elegant. They are eternally evocative of Audrey Hepburn and what could be more chic than that? But they are not, not, not as attractive to the leg as any high heel shoe. A high-heel shoe performs at least two wonderful, flattering things the second you put it on. One, as you move your weight to the ball of the foot, your calf muscle becomes slightly flexed. This makes the leg look prettier. Two, you suddenly appear just "that much" taller, making you appear just "that much" thinner, too. Now, a word about ankle straps. They are adorable. They are nearly always very, very sexy. But--and here's the but--they may make you look hot-to-trot, but they will also make your legs look shorter and heavier. A short legged girl will actually make her legs look even shorter in a pair of ankle straps. What high heel shoes are sexy on short legged girls? Any which don't visually cut the leg, foot or ankle in half. Anything with a cut-out toe is sexy. Anything with a very low "vamp" is very sexy (A low vamp is when that little bit of toe cleavage is visible.) And any high heel pump with a low-cut on the interior, exposing the flesh of the arch of your foot has the capacity to drive the right man absolutely wild. |
