For companies that ship out products or on a regular basis, it is important to have the proper shipping supplies on hand to ensure that items are properly packaged and leave the warehouse in a timely manner. Items such as bubble wrap, envelopes, shipping packages and tape dispensers are universally important. Especially when packaging fragile items, it is important to take special precautions to ensure that the items are securely wrapped. One of the most common methods of packaging items securely is with bubble wrap. Bubble wrap is lightweight and works well for wrapping delicate items or filling space in a box. Even if the items aren't fragile, some damage could occur if the items have too much room to move around. There are a few different varieties of shipping supply bubble wrap--small bubbles, large bubbles and bubble bags. The type of wrap used is mostly dependent on the products being shipped. While small bubbles are appropriate for lightweight items, large bubbles are recommended for large, heavy items. These loose pieces of foam cushioning can be poured into the shipping box along with the item to protect it during transit.
