The Speedlite 430EX is a digital compatible flash manufactured by Canon. The product is a replacement for the 420EX. The Speedlite 430EX has a 40% faster recycling rate than its predecessor, the 420EX. When attached to the camera, this flash unit detects the full-frame sensor and adjusts the angle of coverage. The Speedlite 430EX maximizes the quality of the digital image. The flash senses the white light and balances the settings accordingly. It automatically adjusts the zoom flash position so that it can match the sensor size of the unit, which the 430EX is attached to.
The integrated diffusion panel allows an extended wide angle of 14mm and the flash zoom head can cover between 24mm and 105mm. The Speedlite 430Ex gives accurate flash coverage by detecting the model it is attached to, since it has equipped to eliminate light loss that generally occurs in peripheral areas. The flash unit was launched in the market on August 22, 2005, at Amstelveen, the Netherlands. The ultra-bright 2-LED technology has been specially designed to compete with all focus points within the frame of all EOS AF systems. The color temperature is detected by the Speedlite 430EX and transferred to the SLR camera that then sets the optimum white-light balance for the flash shot.
An LCD panel indicates the user modes and settings. Immediate control over the bounce head angle is provided by a single bounce-lock release button. This feature helps in flexible positioning of the flash head, which can move up from 0-90 degrees, 0-180 degrees to the left and 0-9 degrees to the right. The unit is small and light in weight with six custom functions. |
