The Canon Company offers an exceptional array of high-quality digital cameras, camcorders, lenses, and other electronics necessary for film and photography. One of the most exciting new camcorder cameras on the market is the HDV high-definition XL H1. Executives recently rolled out this model for just under $9,000. It features an astounding number of bells and whistles that will impress even veteran videographers. With the XL H1, you get a full 1080i resolution and a 20 times lens. Ergonomically, the Canon high-definition XL H1 is ideal, in that it gives you a whopping 24 frames per second. It's almost impossible to tell the difference between the video you get from this camcorder and actual film. That being said, you need to look closely at the "24F" rating. This is not identical to the rating of "24P," which is more realistic. You can play with a number of controls, including three different color matrices, horizontal detailing, color gain, magnifications, and much more. Like its Sony camcorder competitor, the XL H1 has an image enhancement feature called Focus Help. True daredevils may ignore the camera's automatic settings, but advanced optical processing technology does a fairly good job at reviewing what's in the frame for accuracy. With a high-grade digital camera of this stature, you can get image stabilization from a long-range. You can also record still pictures with this camera at a very good res of ~2000 by 1080. Of course, you shouldn't spend $9,000 just to get still resolution. If that's all you're after, save a little money and get the Canon XL 2.
