Compaq is a division of HP, and HP has created a number of servers, including the ProLiant series, Integrity servers, and the HP 9000 series. There are servers that work with such operating systems as Linux, Windows, HP UX 11i, NetWare, Tru64 Unix, NonStop OS, and OpenVMS. The processors in the servers include x86, the Intel Itanium Two, MIPA, Alpha, and PA-RISC. The ProLiant ML Series, including the ProLiant DL 380, ProLiant DL 360, and ProLiant ML 110, features a number of models that use both single and multiple processors. These machines have from three to 10 internal drives, a maximum memory of 48GB, and use processors such as the Intel Xeon and the Pentium 4. These are all rack servers. The HP Integrity Superdome server is a high-end server with massive capabilities. This server uses a 1.6GHz Intel Itanium Two processor, and runs your choice of operating systems. The Integrity line also offer mid-range servers as well as entry-level solutions. Mid-range Integrity servers come with dual processor modules for increased speed and power, operate with a number of operating systems, and have a maximum memory of 256 GB. HP also makes entry-level servers for small-to-medium sized businesses. These servers are expandable to meet increasing workloads, and come in tower formations. There are also rack servers available for small business needs. The entry-level Integrity servers are designed to work as single servers, or as members of server clusters, for flexibility and expansion options.
