Compaq Computer Corporation is an American conglomerate that manufactures personal computers. It was established in1982 by Rod Canion, Bill Murto, and Jim Harris. The company is based at Houston, Texas, and was one of the largest providers of computing systems. Compaq produced one of the first IBM PC compatible computers at an affordable cost, in the 1980s.
Compaq’s Presario line of notebook and desktop computers was launched in the consumer market, in September 1993. Compaq Presario V2403NR is a notebook personal computer, belonging to the Presario series. This notebook runs on a 1.4 GHz Intel Celeron M 360 Processor. It has a 256 MB 333 MHz DDR memory and supports a maximum of up to 2 GB. The hard drive is 40 GB and offers a spindle speed of 4200 RPM. The Presario V2403NR comes with a 14” WGXA High Definition monitor with BrightView technology. This anti-reflective technology ensures crisp and clear images. The system comes with Altec Lansing speakers, which provide good sound quality. The keyboard has 101- keys, with a touch pad, and also has a vertical and horizontal scroll pad. The touch pad has an on/off button, while the scroll pad has an up/down pad. The Compaq V2403NR comes with a pre-installed Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 operating system. Additional software includes Sonic Digital Media Plus, muvee autoProducer DVD Edition with Burning, and Apple iTunes.
