The Dell 4700 is a personal computer, which can be effectively used in the home as well as in an office. This computer features an Intel 915G Express chipset, an Intel Pentium 4 530 processor, and 512 MB of DDR2 PC3200 system memory. Another addition to this PC is the new graphics solution called the Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 900. This graphics chip is an improvement over Intel’s earlier version; however the only downside is it has to be shared with the system memory. The computer is equipped with an160GB hard drive for storing large amount of data. Its 17 inch LCD monitor with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels provides crisp and clear images. The system comes with a Samsung DVD-ROM drive, which allows one to watch high quality DVD movies and the LG 48X CD-RW that allows one to burn important data, music files and photos.
The Dell 4700 is equipped with an A425 2.1 stereo-speaker system, which offers a total output of 30 watts for high quality sound output. The Intel’s Integrated High Definition Audio chip with 7.1 channel audio further enhances the sound quality. This system comes bundled with Microsoft Works 2400 productivity software, Dell’s Picture Studio 2.0 photo editing software, and Musicmatch’s Jukebox music management application. |
