eMachine is a personal computer manufacturing company that was started in September 1998. It was started as result of a joint venture between Korean monitor makers, KDS and Korean computer manufacturer TriGem. These personal computers were low cost computers and were sold without monitors. In 2004, eMachine was taken over by Gateway Computers. Today, the company’s product line includes desktops as well as desktops with monitors, which are sold at low prices.
eMachine T6414 is a personal desktop computer. Its machine is powered by an AMD’s Athlon 64 3200+ Processor, which has speed of 2 GHz. It comes with a 512 MB 400 MHz DDR memory, which is capable of running many applications simultaneously. This system is also equipped with a 160 GB hard drive with a spindle speed of 7200 RPM for fast data access. The DVD±RW Dual Layer drive allows one to watch the latest movies, burn dual layer DVDs, personal home/family videos, and back up important data. The T6414 is also equipped with the ATI’s Radeon Xpress 200 Video chipset, which brings the images to life. In addition, the incorporated 64-bit processor and the PCI Express graphics offer excellent visual graphics while playing 3D games and using high end graphic applications.
The eMachine T6414 is also equipped with USB, Firewire, audio, LAN, parallel, and VGA ports. The built-in flash media reader supports cards such as MemoryStick Pro, Multimedia, MicroDrive, and SecureDigital cards. It comes pre-installed with Microsoft’s Windows XP Edition operating system.
