This handheld GPS device is designed for use by fans of the outdoors, including hunters, boaters and campers. It features 12 parallel channels for optimal reception and information. In addition, it is only two inches wide and four inches high, so it fits snugly into a pocket for easy access. All five buttons on the Garmin eTrex are located on the sides of the unit. This allows for one-handed use without visual obstruction of the display. The Garmin eTrex is tough and durable, with a bright yellow hard plastic casing. It is also energy- and cost-efficient; it will run for 22 hours on only two AA batteries. This GPS receiver is completely waterproof. You can splash it with water or completely submerse it and it will still continue to work.
