Kenwood Company was launched under the name of “Kasuga Radio Co. Ltd.” in 1946, in Komagane City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. The company was then named "Trio Corporation". Their first overseas office was in California, U.S.A. This was the foundation of the famous Kenwood Company in U.S.A.
Kenwood Excelon CAR Amplifiers have treble control bass boost, preamp outputs, large power and a precise control features. Also, it has high pass and low pass filter which are variable, sub-atomic, and brand reject filters. Their signal to noise ratio is less than 100db and the maximum current consumption is 30A. Most series of Kenwood amplifiers have 2 ohm of load capability and their heat sinks are made up of the aluminum die-castings. Their maximum power output is 1000 watt. There is an A.M.S Amplifier Management System and A.M.S Dash-In Receiver. A.M.S enables you to employ the Excelon dash-in stereo, through which you can adjust the volume level up to 8 Excelon amps, and manage bass and treble settings. The RCA audio inputs and line outputs are gold plated. The speaker connectors are gold plated and have a large screw type. Many other powerful accessories are provided along with the multiple sub setups. The variable low- pass amplifiers and band pass filter allows you to eliminate the noise, ultra low frequencies and gives you a sharp stereo sound. The LCD display shows the real-time, amplifier temperature, the cooling fan’s speed and the other status.
Kenwood was the first in Japan to launch the solid state amplifiers and the FM tuners. The first amplifier had an incorporated audio and video signal switching and was introduced in 1981. |
