Zip’emate, a personal die cutting machine that can be used for cutting and embossing, is manufactured by the AccuCut Company. The Zip’emate die cutting machine can actually cut through paper, leather, cardboard, magnet, foil, suede, foam, and plastics. The machine is very useful for decorating scrap books, card making, school projects, or even stamping.
The Zip’emate is operated by rotating a handle. Four layers go through the machine: the first being the proper platform for the die, followed by the die itself, after which comes the paper with the last layer being the clear cutting mat. The handle is rotated so that all these layers completely pass through the machine. As the handle is being rotated, it actually applies pressure on the die before the shapes are cut. The Zip’emate enables the multiple cutting of dies simultaneously. The cutting pressure is preset so there is no need to exert extra pressure. The dual roller action can easily cut through delicate designs without damaging them. The cutting mats provided protect the dies, which are actually visible when being cut.
The Zip’emate makes clean sharp cuts the first time through and comes in a variety of colors.
