Xavier Roberts's Cabbage Patch Babies can be found the world over. The Cabbage Patch Company operates a Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, Georgia, approximately two hours outside of Atlanta. This is one of Travel Channel's favorite toy land attractions in the US. Babyland produces thousands of top-tier hand stitched original dolls and offers tours to the public nearly 365 days a year. Cabbage Patch Babies are by definition smaller and cuddlier than their older siblings. While every baby comes with a special blanket, knitted booties, and a cute little cap, each doll is produced to have unique features. Most babies measure approximately 14 inches, and the company markets a wide array of accessories and supplemental outfits. In recent years, Cabbage Patch Babies have diversified ethnically. Now you can find Caucasian blonde-haired babies, Hispanic cuddly kids with brunette hair, and little boys of African origin, among others. Although the Cabbage Patch Baby boom peaked during the mid 1980s, these dolls have proven versatile on the market, particularly as collectors' items. Be aware that there are certain Cabbage Patch dolls called Snacktime Kids which were withdrawn from the general marketplace after some unfortunate incidences involving getting things stuck in the dolls' mouths. All babies come with birth certificates for adoption, and each doll boasts unique eye coloring, hair, and accessories. The babies are made from vinyl and exquisitely soft fabrics, and they are hypoallergenic and safe for children ages three and up. |
