Cinderella wanted to participate too, but was not allowed to do so by her step-mother and step-sisters. However, her Godmother came to her rescue and made use of what she could find to create a chariot, horses and a coachman and adorn Cinderella in a beautiful gown and a pair of glass slippers. However, her spell would be effective only until midnight. Cinderella and the Prince danced in each others arms until the stroke of midnight. At the stroke, Cinderella fled back home, however, leaving behind one of her slippers.
The King sends his servants the next to find the owner of the slipper. Lady Tremaine tried her best to disallow Cinderella from trying the slippers. However, Cinderella succeeded in fitting them on. The servants take her to the palace and she is wedded to the Prince amidst royal pomp and gaiety. |
