| Dora the Explorer is an interactive TV miniseries, designed exclusively for pre-school kids. Not only does this involve fun and adventure, but also loads and loads of learning. Dora the Explorer airs on Nick Jr. and builds on Nick Jr’s promise to “Play, Laugh and Learn.” Dora and her monkey companion, venture out daily on high stakes journeys. Everyday, Dora has in store many adventures, puzzles and quests coupled with funny friends and a villainous fox.
Dora lives in a house with her Mama and Papi; she also visits her grandma, Abuela often. Dora helps children learn math, music skills and physical co-ordination. Dora teaches children to be very observant and improve their problem-solving abilities. In every episode of Dora the Explorer, Dora solves problems specific to words and phrases in Spanish. This helps the children learn and improve their Spanish vocabulary. The problem solving abilities instilled in children help them on a day to day basis. It is very common to see children spill milk, pull out clothes carelessly, break cups etc. Dora helps kids develop these basic essentials and encourages them to be independent. Dora the Explorer emphasizes on being interactive.
