American actress and former fashion model, Jaime King was born on April 23, 1979. Though she is known by the name of Jamie King, she also well known by the name James King, which was more rampant in her early modeling years. Her name was changed as her agency was also managing the career of a famous model named Jamie (Rishar).
Often said to be named after 1970s hit television series ‘The Bionic Woman’s’, Jaime Sommers, King was born in Omaha, Nebraska. She moved to New York in 1995 after dropping out Westside High school, to pursuit a career in modeling. At age 16, she was successful as a model; she reached the peak of her career as a model before succumbing to heroine addiction. She kicked the habit in 1997, following the death of her boyfriend, renowned fashion photographer Davide Sorrenti. She then turned to Hollywood and continued modeling as a side career. She was also the brand ambassador for various companies. During this stint she starred in Gavin Degraw's music video for ‘Chariot’.
Jaime King starred in highly acclaimed movies such as ‘Cheaper by the Dozen 2’ (2006), ‘Sin City’ (2005), ‘Two for the Money’ (2005), ‘White Chicks’ (2004), ‘Bulletproof Monk’ (2003), ‘Pearl Harbor’ (2001), and the yet to be released ‘Sin City 2’.
