Jillian Barberi is a Canadian actress born in Burlington, Canada on September 26, 1966. She is an actress and television hostess. Her actual name was Jillian Warry before she got married to Bret Barberi a former Major League Baseball player; she then became Jillian Barberi after marriage. She has stuck with Jillian Barberi and is using it as her professional name even after her divorce with Bret.
Jillian is a broadcast journalism graduate from the Mohawk College in Hamilton. After completing her studies Jillian worked with a number of television stations such as WSVN based in Miami and KTTV located in Los Angeles; both are affiliated to the Fox network. Her appearance on these networks helped her get several roles on many television dramas including the shows ‘V.I.P’ and ‘Melrose Place’. She was hired as the host to present the national weather section on the FOX NFL Sunday pregame show, which has been one of Fox Sports highly successful feature. Jillian worked opposite personalities such as James Brown, Howie Long and Terry Bradshaw. Her television appearances earned her a significant fan following. She has worked on the show ‘Good Day L.A.’. She was also part of the ‘Good Day Live’ show which was telecasted nationally. She was the co-host for Regis Philbin’s New Year’s Eve special on Fox. She was one of the celebrity judges for the Miss USA 2006 contest; and was also a part of the judging panel on The Tyra Banks Show's male model search in the same year.
Jillian is an ardent animal lover and works towards the prevention of cruelty towards animals. She has adopted nine pets from shelters. Jillian believes that her ‘adoptive’ nature is a consequence of the fact that she herself was put up for adoption. |
