False eyelashes are often thought to be one of the trickiest beauty applications. Either a full set of lashes or individual lashes can be added to the lash line to create a dramatic look. False eyelashes can be worn either in the evening or during the afternoon, but the applications are very different. A full set of false eyelashes would be too dramatic during the day, but a few individual lashes applied to the outside of the eye is thought to be a good way to create a different look. In the evening, either method is appropriate, depending on the desired effect. Individual lashes give the user the chance to customize their look, adding lashes where they are needed most. Before wearing false eyelashes out in public, it is recommended that users take some time to practice applying them correctly. The first step in applying false eyelashes is to make sure that the eye area is completely clean. A thin strip of adhesive is applied to the fake eyelashes and is then left to sit for up to a minute, so that the adhesive has a chance to get tacky. It is always recommended that you put less adhesive on the strip than you think is necessary, because more can always be added. When the lashes are ready to be applied, they should be placed as close to the natural lash line as possible, following the curve of the eyelid. Once they are in place, the lashes can be adjusted with either the fingertips or a pair of tweezers. Make up can then be applied for an elegant look that brings a lot of attention to the face and eyes. |
