Honda VTX is a series of Honda cruiser or standard motorcycle that was introduced in 2002. This series is powered to life by a V2 or V twin engine. The Honda VTX is available in two models, one with the 1800cc motor and the other with a 1300cc motor.
The Honda VTX 1300 S is a four stroke bike with a huge wheelbase of 65.7 inches that ensure smooth turns. The bike is equipped with a shaft drive (cardan) and five-speed transmission. The 1312cc engine is liquid cooled. There are 3 valves per cylinder. It has a 4.76 gallon tank that provides fuel for around a 160-mile range. The engine motor churns 74.0 horsepower at 5000 rpm and a torque of 90.7 ft/lbs at 3000 rpm. The suspension system consists of 41mm fork suspension in the front and dual shock suspension in the rear that is endowed with five-position spring preload adjustability. The braking system consists of single disc brakes upfront and in the rear. The front brakes are loaded with 2-piston calipers and the rear with 1-piston calipers. The compression ratio of the bike is 9.2 to 1. The carburetion in the bike is a single 38mm CV. The ignition system has a solid-state digital with three-dimensional mapping and there are two spark plugs per cylinder. An electronic starter puts this bike on the move. The bike has spooked wheels and chrome hooded headlight.
In some of the models the seat height is adjustable; however on the lowest setting the height measures to 27.0 inches. The bike is available in different colors such as black, bright blue metallic, metallic silver, etc. |
